Halloween Crafties

I love Halloween or as I say to my boys "All Hallow's Eve" and they correct me every time.  I made a crafty for my sister's family since she bought some vinyl and asked ever so sweetly if I would make her something..

I bought a frame from Michaels and then I took the backing for the frame and glued 2 layers on yellow tissue paper and then a layer of cheesecloth.  The vinyl (SU!) is on the glass.

This one I used a 10" ceramic plate from Tai Pan and then I put a layer of sticky tape around the edge of the plate.  I put black satin ribbon and folded it around the edge.  I glued the polka dot ribbon on the back of the plate so she can hand it or put on a plate stand.

Kristen and Nikole - I hope you love them!  xoxo

Betsy's birthday is in October and I decided to make her a Halloween Wreath.

I had fun making this one and should've taken more pics...  I wrapped the wreath is strips of black satin material to give it the frayed look.  Then I took SU! paper to make the accents.  The fuzzy spiders are from The Dollar Tree :)

Shane's birthday party at The Cove

Shane decided after much debate to have his party at the park.  The wind came and went, but we had a lot of fun.

We decorated mugs... I hear the mugs continue to decorate the kids whenever they use them.  Sorry! :)

We ate some pizza... Easton really likes her pizza

We did some fishing and fed the ducks some pizza crust :)

And of course... we hit the playground and played in the sand box a/k/a volleyball court

Navajo Lake / Cascade Falls / Mammoth Caves

August 25, 2011 - A trip that almost wasn't... Thursday morning, wake up early, head to Nana and Papas to say "hi and bye" and then the truck wouldn't start.  Amber came to the rescue.  First they tried to jump the truck.. nope.  Then she took Gary to get a new battery.  Then we had to get more parts at the dealership.  5 hours later we were finally on our way.  We headed to Navajo Lake near Cedar City with our neighbors to camp, hike, bike and do some cave exloring.

Gary went on a bike ride on a trail around the lake and took some great pics!

Then we went for a hike to Cascade Falls...

I couldn't resist taking a pic of this crazy tree
If Reed sees a tree worth climbing... there is no stopping him

Hey there Bauer Boys and Mom!

Shane and dad

The next day we went to Mammoth Caves

Shane ready to get his cave on

Reed and dad... not sure who is having more fun in these caves

Gary always has BRIGHT ideas :)

Anyone for a game of whack-a-mole?

Last night of camping we threw in more chance of "catching" dinner... we ended up with an appetizer :)

Reed was so excited... this was one of three he caught.  This one dad made him put back since it was just a "white" fish.  Reed did catch the Rainbow Trout.  Gary gutted, cleaned, seasoned and barbequed it.  It was delicious!!
