Teacher Appreciation Gifts

Last Sunday, I headed up to my sister Jodi's house to have some crafty time.  With Teacher Appreciation Week approaching, she sent me a few pic ides of gifts.  With that in mind, I loaded up my Cricut Imagine, crafting supplies and the boys and we made the haul to Jodi's.  While the kids all played, we got to crafting.

Below are most of the supplies we used.  Stampin Up and Cricut are my favorite to use in most of my projects!!

My sweet niece, Piper used my fun scoring tool from Stampin Up and made the lollies.

Jodi cut out fabric while I cut out the vinyl.  She had 3 rectangle jars for her teacher gifts - they were fantastic!!!  If I remember right they were 4" x 5.65"

These are pics of one of the finished ones.  I just love how they turned out.

Jodi- thank you so much!! I needing a crafting "fix" :)  love you!! xoxoxo

Valentines from Mom and Dad

Today is Valentine's Day... the day of love...

Gary and I gave the boys some special gifts... We bought these cute little guys with Love and Hugs on the feet.  They LOVE their chocolate.  Finally are their "buckets of love."  Inside these buckets are little notes from mom and dad that say reasons why we love them... like "I love how you make me smile.  I love the snuggles you give...."

Reed's Valentine's Day treats and holder

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day... Normally I'd be the mom up until 2am working on Valentine's for teachers and kids.  This year... I'm ahead of my usual game.  On Friday we began a fun family paper mache project for Reed's Valentines "holder" for school.  Below is the transformation :) (Thank you McDonald's for the inspirational toy)

Above shows what a fantastic Artist our Reed is :)

Below...there's a hole in his head for the delicious Valentine goodies

Reed and I spent an hour or so laughing and crafting together.  This is what we made for the teachers and other faculty.  The kids will get the tag and a fun size bag of Reeces Pieces (not pictured)

This shows the front and back of the tags... his favorite part of making them was using the hammer and setter for the eyelits.

Happy Valentine's Day!!! xoxo

Halloween Crafties

I love Halloween or as I say to my boys "All Hallow's Eve" and they correct me every time.  I made a crafty for my sister's family since she bought some vinyl and asked ever so sweetly if I would make her something..

I bought a frame from Michaels and then I took the backing for the frame and glued 2 layers on yellow tissue paper and then a layer of cheesecloth.  The vinyl (SU!) is on the glass.

This one I used a 10" ceramic plate from Tai Pan and then I put a layer of sticky tape around the edge of the plate.  I put black satin ribbon and folded it around the edge.  I glued the polka dot ribbon on the back of the plate so she can hand it or put on a plate stand.

Kristen and Nikole - I hope you love them!  xoxo

Betsy's birthday is in October and I decided to make her a Halloween Wreath.

I had fun making this one and should've taken more pics...  I wrapped the wreath is strips of black satin material to give it the frayed look.  Then I took SU! paper to make the accents.  The fuzzy spiders are from The Dollar Tree :)

Shane's birthday party at The Cove

Shane decided after much debate to have his party at the park.  The wind came and went, but we had a lot of fun.

We decorated mugs... I hear the mugs continue to decorate the kids whenever they use them.  Sorry! :)

We ate some pizza... Easton really likes her pizza

We did some fishing and fed the ducks some pizza crust :)

And of course... we hit the playground and played in the sand box a/k/a volleyball court
